Comprised of various stone inlays including yellow sienna, calacatta gold, porto oro, orange carrara, alabaster, malachite, obsidian, and breche violette, all polished to a high sheen and seamlessly inlaid.
Most notable is the imagery, which fancifully depicts 19th and 20th century caricatures of framed photo images, modernist and traditional- an atypical subject matter for pietra dura, and most possibly unique.
