"Peace of mind - a state we all yearn to experience daily.
Entitled 'Peace in Mind,' this portrait stands out amidst a series of monotypes aptly named 'Cry.' The vibrant red hues employed in this painting may not conventionally evoke a sense of tranquility. Moreover, the woman's hands stretched across her face, a gesture instinctively made when fear grips us, when we long to release a scream. Her mouth agape, seemingly emitting a cry that pierces through the feeble barrier of her hands. Alternatively, one might interpret this woman's scream as a desperate plea to shield herself from witnessing or hearing about the unsettling events unfolding around her. She yearns for peace, she wants peace of her mind."

Jolanta Johnsson
Jolanta Johnsson is a Polish painter, who was born in 1955. She studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in the years 1984–89, in the graphic studios of professor Halina Chrostowska and professor Rafal Strent and the painting studio of professor Jerzy Tchorzewski. She gained a Ph.D. in visual arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in 2012. Currently, she runs a graphic arts and design workshop at the European Faculty of Arts at the Vistula Academy of Finance and Business. Her works have been exhibited at numerous exhibitions, including in the United States, Sweden, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Greece.
