About the Item

Recently I have been overpainting older works and tried out new ways of expressing emotions and feelings. Here I started to play around with colors, enjoying the texture of the big and loose brushstrokes and was completely absorbed in what it felt like. "Summer Sea" gives you an idea of the lightness of summer days at the sea, of sailing, of waves, of fresh air and some wind. You can see just a beautiful landscape with some light clouds here, you could think of a window view, but the painting can also be understood as emotions and feelings breaking in like waves do, things can happen in our so far quiet life and break in... life means constant change, we have to deal with it, it can be stormy, it can be wild, it can drown us, it can be quiet or even boring, but it can also contain great beauty. In this vibrant painting the emphasis lies on the lightness - where there is light, there is growth, change and there is hope! 80x80x2 cm on gallery wrapped canvas. Signed on the back. Ready to hang.
