Original Miniature 19th Century Austrian Pastoral Figurative Oil Painting on Wood
Painted in the manner of late Romanticism, this charming miniature pastoral landscape by Edmund Friedrich Arthur Krenn (Austrian, 1846-1902), circa 1875.
This Idyllic countryside scene of a pair of women, in the shade of a tree with mountains and a glimpse of village in background creates a serene and picturesque image that will bring a sense of tranquility to any space. Edmund Krenn was born in Vienna in 1846 and studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. He was known for his landscapes in the romantic manner.
