Laura Mann
Laura Mann, "Along the Stream", 5x7 Rural River Country Landscape Oil Painting

About the Item

Highlighting the rural beauty and solitude of life in the farm country, Laura Mann's paintings have a timeless and atmospheric quality that call for reminiscence. Her painting, "Along the Stream", is a 5x7 oil painting on board featuring an old winding creek through lush woodland. Hazy summer air provides a sense of atmosphere, depth, and space. Mann's paintings have a way of placing the viewer inside of her tiny illustrated world, giving a look at a bucolic country life. About the artist: Laura Mann has been living and painting in Las Vegas, Nevada for many years, Her poetic landscapes in oil are more universal than regional although her birth place in the woodlands of Washington and years of living in the desert area, have shaped the images she portrays. Her final paintings are a very personal statement of her inner view of nature which she sees with the insight, refreshing innocence and total reverence of the landscape. Almost from the beginning of her career, her works have been eagerly collected. She has sold literally hundreds of paintings. Laura is represented in several permanent collections and many private ones throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. She is prolific, with the rare ability to be understood by the lay person while maintaining the highest standards of artistic integrity. Her art work is shown in many galleries throughout the United States. Laura has received many awards for her fine paintings and devotes her time to teaching when time permits.
