Djawid Borower
Portrait Picture of Time and Identity Contemporary Blue and Pink Faces Cut Faces

2010

About the Item

A large scale original canvas work by a well know Austrian painter is part of his 'cut faces' series. Painted in royal blues and pinks and covered with phrases and numbers, this contemporary work is both cool and sophisticated. It captures a moment in time of an ordinary person, much like one cell from film, and then redefines it by dissecting the face. The work is part of two painting suite that can be hung together and produce a larger painting with a face formed from the two cut faces.
