Elegant hand signed black & white photo highlighting the sharp contrast between the Yosemite mountain range of Mt. Lyell and the beautiful clouds above by Charles Cramer (American, b. 1950). Signed "Charles Cramer" in the lower right corner in pencil. Stamped and titled on verso by the artist and dated 1990. Presented in a black frame with a heavy white mat and glass. This photo is not currently offered by the artist, but other sizes maybe custom ordered. Image size: 22"H x 27.5"W Charles Cramer (American, b. 1950) studied piano as a graduate student at Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. Before beginning his studies, Cramer took a camping trip to Yosemite National Park that he called “a revelation.” He became fascinated with photography and took his first Ansel Adams workshop in 1977. A few years later, his prints were available in the gallery in 1982, and then Cramer began teaching for the Ansel Adams Gallery Workshop Program in 1987. He has had over 15 solo gallery shows, and is represented by the Ansel Adams Gallery.

    Stunning black & white landscape photograph with trees reflecting in water in the Sierra Nevada mountains by California artist Robert Werling. Signed on mat lower right: "Bob Werling." Presented in a silver metal frame. Image, 15"H x 19"W. Robert Werling was born in San Francisco, California in 1946 and realized an interest in art at an early age. While briefly attending a commercial art school, he found photography to be his medium and went on to obtain both a BA and an honorary MS from the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. He also studied privately under Ansel Adams from 1966 to 1970 and Imogen Cunningham from 1969 to 1975. Through his affiliation with Adams, Werling came to know and work with other noted photographers. Brett Weston became his close friend and mentor and Marion Post Wolcott, relying on his darkroom expertise, entrusted her negatives to his printing genius. While creating an impressive number of his own fine art prints, Werling also lectured extensively and worked as an instructor for the Brooks Institute, the University of California, Santa Barbara, the Zone System Seminars and Workshops in the United States, and for the Werkschule fur Fotografie in Soltau, Germany. Werling has exhibited his photographs in over sixty one-man and group shows in both the United States and Europe.
