Urs Lüthi (born 10 September 1947) is a Swiss photographer, painter and performance artist. Lüthi attended the Zurich School of Applied Arts from 1963 to 1964. He then worked as a graphic designer and freelance artist. In 1966 he held his first solo exhibition Pinksize with paintings with Pop art influence in the Beat Mäder gallery in Bern.
In 1969 he switched to photography and in 1970 he collected some success at the Galerie Toni Gerber in Bern with a series of androgynous self-portraits.
In 1980 he began painting large acrylic paintings to find his own visual language. At the end of the 80s he switched to art installations. Since 1994 he has been a professor at the Kassel Art Academy. During the 2001 Venice Biennale, he transformed the Swiss pavilion entitled "Trademarks, low action, Game II, Run for your life ..." into an installation where he presented himself, ironically, lying in the center of the room, smiling, dressed in overalls, with sports shoes and sunglasses.

- Terry O'Neill - Marianne Faithfull, Photography 1964, Printed AfterBy Terry O'NeillLocated in Greenwich, CTMarianne Evelyn Gabriel Faithfull is an English singer, songwriter and actress. She achieved popularity in the 1960s with the release of her hit single "As Tears Go By" and became one of the lead female artists during the British Invasion in the United States. Singer Marianne Faithfull posing in just a basque, stockings and suspenders on her first shoot to launch her pop career, London 1964, taken the year she was discovered at a Rolling Stones record release party by manager Andrew Loog Oldham. At the time of the photo-shoot, Faithfull had just released her first single As Tears Go By written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Faithfull is most notorious for leaving her husband to be with lead rock singer Mick Jagger; together they were one of the top power couples of the 1960s. She was one of the greatest fashion icons of the 60s and best remembered for her relationship with the Rolling Stones than for her solo music career. Speaking of the 1964 shoot, O’Neill said: 'I wanted to make her look more sophisticated and glamorous. 'This shoot really took her out of her comfort zone, but I think anyone would agree she looks fantastic.' Terry O’Neill is one of the world’s most collected photographers with work hanging in national art galleries and private collections worldwide. From presidents to pop stars he has photographed the frontline of fame for over six decades. O’Neill began his career at the birth of the 1960s. While other photographers concentrated on earthquakes, wars and politics, O’Neill realized that youth culture was a breaking news story on a global scale and began chronicling the emerging faces of film, fashion and music who would go on to define the Swinging Sixties. By 1965 he was being commissioned by the biggest magazines and newspapers in the world. No other living photographer has embraced the span of fame, capturing the icons of our age from Winston Churchill to Nelson Mandela, from Frank Sinatra and Elvis to Amy Winehouse, from Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot to Nicole Kidman, as well as every James Bond from Sean Connery to Daniel Craig and many other of your favorite celerities, models and famous political figures, royalty and fashion iconic names in fashion.
