About the Item
Bernard Sanders (1906-1967) was a master of minimalist prints. In several I've posted the subject is really atmosphere and tension.
This could be read as a purely abstract image. But it could be a stylized figure. The circle/sun is the head and the 'ladder' is the body. The right arm is outstretched and the left is angled back to the chest.
Signed in the plate at the lower left..

He also studied at the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Denver, Golden State University, and National College in Ontario, Canada. He continued on to France, studying at the University of Paris in 1919. Hiler lived in Paris from 1919-1934, supporting himself as a jazz musician and a piano player for The Jockey Club.
