Frank Arnold is thought by many to be one of the foremost abstract figurative painters and sculptors of our time. He is a living master whose work is considered to be both personal and universal. He divides his time between working studios in California, San Jose del Cabo and Mexico City. Arnold has exhibited his unique and expressive abstract-figurative style in multiple galleries and museums and is in numerous collections, worldwide. In addition to oil paintings and bronze sculpture, Arnold has produced two books, the first of which, Frank Arnold Speaks” is a bilingual, English and Spanish biography covering his upbringing by adoptive parents, and the impact his experiences have had on his artwork. His second book, “Your Creative Imagination Unlocked,” is a collaborative effort with noted depth psychologist, Dr. Jim Manganiello. It includes an exploration of his own creative process and several observations and hypotheses by Manganiello with regard to Arnold’s work as well as that of other noted abstract artists, Cy Twombly, Wassily Kandinsky, Pablo Picasso, Mark Rothko and Banksy. This book delves into the deeper mind and how art can be a path to rediscovery of your creative imagination.
Standing at 19 inches tall, (63.5 cm) “Arise” is a third-life size scale piece. The artist’s signature “8” is set at the foot of the figure. Edition of 12. Thematic inspiration for many of Frank Arnold’s cast pieces is discovered through his work as an abstract figurative painter. The textures and finishes present a painterly effect, intentionally created by Arnold to compliment his oil on canvas paintings.

Frank Arnold is one of the foremost abstract figurative painters and sculptors of our time. He is a living master whose work is considered to be both personal and universal. He divides his time between working studios in California, San Jose del Cabo and Mexico City. Arnold has exhibited his unique and expressive abstract-figurative style in multiple galleries and museums and is in numerous collections, worldwide. Much of Arnold’s work is sourced from what he refers to as his “deeper mind.” He describes this process in detail in both of his books, “Frank Arnold – Painting & Sculpture,” and a collaborative work with depth psychologist, Dr. Jim Manganiello entitled “Your Creative Imagination Unlocked.” In brief, Arnold says, “I go to a place where no words are spoken, a place where there is no sound, no smell, even my sense of touch goes away. I am left in a bright place where things seem to be given to me. It's a wonderful place where I feel I can do anything; a place that I am so grateful for because I can see.”

He studied stone and wood carving under Louis Slobodkin at the Roerich Museum. He later attended the Leonardo da Vinci School of Art studying under Attilio Piccirelli. In l939 he taught adult classes with the Teachers Project of the WPA and attended the Art Students League for three and a half years on full scholarship. He studied under William Zorach and Ossip Zadkine and later became Zorach’s assistant. Later in his career, he attended the Hans Hofmann School of Fine Arts. During World War II, Tatti served in the United States Army Air Force, where he spent three years assigned to variety of projects. In 1948, Benedict Tatti married Adele Rosenberg in New York City. Throughout his career, Tatti continuously experimented with various media. From 1952-1963, Tatti executed sculptural models of architectural and consumer products for the industrial designers, Raymond Loewy Associates; later he became a color consultant for the firm. In the 1960s, influenced by the Abstract Expressionists, Tatti turned from carving directly in wood and stone to creating assemblage architecture sculptures, using bronze metal and other industrial materials.
