Danny Weiss is a New York based photographer who who captures the power and beauty of the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Weiss’s large scale color photographs of waves are replete in rich tones of magenta, fuschia, orange and blue. The motion of the crashing waves contrasts sharply with the crisp horizon lines. In this series of contemporary color photographs, entitled “In the Deep,” the waves crest, surge, and swell. The water foams up in the whitecaps and the primal, tangible, force of the water is palpable. Yet there is a peacefulness and inner awareness that the experience of these fleeting moments is universal.(Biography provided by Front Room Gallery)

Chalk streams are a unique ecosystem that house a high biodiversity of plants and creatures. Their cool, fresh waters come from rain that permeates the chalk, filtering it and allowing it to flow through the flinty bedrock and emerge further down slopes as purely clear mineral water.
In this series, Davies takes the reflection of light on the surface of the sea and overlays it onto the chalk streams, creating a sparkling liquid path...
