Italian Wide Brim Straw Beach Hat With Orange Raffia Trim, 1960's
About the Item
It's time for a little fun in the sun! 1960's Italian straw hat with a wide brim and whimsical orange raffia decoration including a flower pompom at the top of the crown. The open weave of the straw provides cooling ventilation and the grosgrain lined inner rim keeps it comfortably in place. Perfect topper for everything from the beach to backyard barbecuing. No maker's mark. A fun fact ... the hat came from the Atlanta estate of a fashionable woman who once lived in Hollywood and worked for Lucille Ball and Desilu Productions.
CONDITION
Very good vintage condition. Appears rarely, if ever, worn. No original packaging.
MEASUREMENTS
Measures 21.5" circumference at inner rim. The brim is 4.5" deep and the crown has a 5" rise with 8" to the center crown. Overall, the hat measures 16" diameter.
