Vintage Brocade Coat or Coat Dress by James Galanos for Amelia Gray Boutique Beverly Hills, likely made in the late 60s. Made from an Incredible tapestry brocade in shades of pale green, lavender, brown & charcoal black, it features decorative buttons at each chest pocket and sleeve back. It's fully-lined with Taffeta at the hem, giving it fabulous volume and bounce! Fastens with hidden buttons and snaps with hidden hook/eye closures at the chest for wear as a dress. A truly eye-catching and versatile piece that can be dressed up or down. Quality-made and sophisticated! Dry clean only. Made in the USA. No size tag, fits like a modern M. Approximate measurements, taken flat nd doubled where appropriate: shoulders - 16in, bust - 37in, waist - 32in, hips - 43in, shoulder to hem - 37in, sleeves - 23in. Preowned/vintage (50+ years old) with some signs of age, prior use & wear: light piling to the underside sleeve fabric, hard to see when wearing, but evident if inspecting closely.
