About the Item
Authentic, preowned, vintage Bonnie Cashin for Sills lilac purple suede tunic dress or tabard, likely made in the 60s. Originally sold by Saks 5th Avenue, where it retailed for $100 (which is now worth $1010 in todays dollars!!) Made from a a gorgeous violet or lilac suede leather, it fastens at each side with a gold metal buckle and strap! Bonnie Cashin essentially invented the term "layering", and this piece is a great example of her sportswear!
Wear it over a knit dress, or with jeans and a cami underneath! So may ways to style! True vintage & mod, own and wear a fascinating piece of history!
Made in the USA. Unlined. Leather clean only. Slips over head like a sandwich board and fastens under each arm with a strap and buckle.
No size tag, firs like a modern S/M. Approximate measurements, taken flat and doubled where appropriate: bust - 36in, waist - 33in, hips - 38in, shoulder to hem length - 31in.
New Old Stock (NOS) and New With Tags (NWT). Never worn, properly stored with minimal signs of prior handling.
