About the Item

Exquisite and very refined Image of a Byzantine Cross made of fired enamel in beautiful burgundy colors, blue gold with intarsia of semi-precious stones and mother of pearl, the entire piece is handcrafted. The cross is in high relief on a wooden cross embellished with a front layer of brass worked with borders in a geometric motif and nailed with small spikes to the wooden support. The image of Christ is absolutely flat as corresponds to Byzantine iconography.
