Petite Lacquered Chinese Altar Coffer
About the Item
This petite altar coffer keeps with the style of Ming-dynasty furniture with clean lines and minimal ornamentation. The narrow coffer stands on thin legs ending in subtle hoof feet, focusing the eye upwards to its squared frame. The table features four shallow drawers and a larger central compartment secured by a full moon brass lock plate and pin. Designed to resemble the low chests used atop a kang platform bed, this lacquered coffer fits effortlessly into modern interiors as an entryway console or bedroom vanity.
