This beautiful bronze Art Deco sculpture was created in the 1920s during the height of the Deco period by the sculptor Gerda Gerdago (1906-2004). Gerdas career began as a costume designer for theatrical productions and then took those designs into sculpture.
Here we have a female dancer dressed in a very geometric costume performing with cymbals.

Gerda Gerdago was an Austrian costume designer born in Vienna in 1906. Gerdago’s career began as a costume designer for theatrical productions and then took those designs into sculpture. Gerdago died in 2004.
