Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Chairman's Bell 729

About the Item

An Art Deco sterling silver chairman's bell with an ebony handle, design #729 by Harald Nielsen, circa 1934. This bell features an extra-large, domed design, notable for its unusually thick and heavy quality. The base consists of a ring attached to the domed bell, accented with oxidation. Atop the bell, three rings are separated by oxidized sections, creating a three-dimensional effect. The handle is crafted from thick, hand-carved ebony wood, and is topped with a sterling silver piece in an Art Deco design. This bell gives a wonderful, deep, lasting sound and a clear, resonant ping. Dimensions: Measures 7 3/8" in height, diameter at the base 3 1/4" (18.7 cm, 8.3 cm). Hallmarks: Vintage Georg Jensen hallmark from 1945-1977. Weight: Including the handle 744 grams (26.24 oz)
