Scandinavian Modern Indigo Blue Flower Motif Stoneware Vase
About the Item
This Scandinavian modern indigo blue flower motif stoneware vase, attributed to Berte Jessen of Royal Copenhagen, is a beautifully crafted piece featuring hand-painted indigo blue motifs on each side. The design depicts both large and small fantasy flowers, with the mouth rim also adorned in blue, adding to its charming aesthetic.
The vase is made from high-quality stoneware with some visible brown particles, and the glaze is transparent with a faint light blue hue. A few unglazed millimeters at the bottom reveal the stoneware's natural beauty.
The vase has a unique shape with flat four corners, sloping shoulders, and a widened mouth. While there are no labels or stamps underneath, the design and decor strongly resemble the work of Berte Jessen for Royal Copenhagen.
A silver-colored sticker on the bottom reads: “Hand-decorated stoneware, lead and cadmium-safe decor and glaze, dishwasher safe.”
