A French faïence armorial sauce boat, Alcide Chaumeil, circa 1880-1890.
Hand decorated with a French heraldic crest, fleur-de-lis, and the customary border, the boat is fixed to a bottom tray. Glazed in vibrant colors.
An initialed mark and the pattern No. 773
Light age wear typical to faïence - a faint line to the interior of the boat, a teeny flea bite on the footing rim, more felt then seen.
