Vintage Spirit Tantalus, Danish, Teak, Glass, Bar Caddy, Decanters, Mid Century

This is a vintage spirit Tantalus. A Danish, teak and glass bar caddy, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1960. Appealing Scandinavian craftsmanship, with fascinating form and function Displays a desirable aged patina and excellent condition throughout Select teak stocks show fine grain interest and rich caramel hues Trio of glass decanters free of marks and in good order Pegged Tantalus clasp with integral handle an unusual feature Rakish triangle profile with gently chamfered edges Each decanter sits neatly within one of the three compartments Decanter sealed with a quality brass and cork stopper, replete with loop pulls Maker's emblems adorn each vessel, reading 'Holme Gaard, of Copenhagen' Brass maker's mark for Dyrlund inset within the Tantalus frame, repeated to the base of each decanter Dyrlund was a noted Danish cabinetmaker in the mid 20th century, with progressive designs This is a fascinating vintage spirit tantalus, graced with wonderful Scandinavian design and quality materials. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
