We have sold a large number of antique light fixtures around the globe, but when it comes to chandeliers from the Dutch Arts & Crafts era this sizable and relatively timeless specimen is only one of very few that we have been able to find. The design is both beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, because the combination of the copper hardware and the goldenbrown silk shade is an absolute joy to look at. Because of the quality of the copper Arts and Crafts Style elements and the relatively timeless design we feel this rare antique may have been made by Winkelman en van der Bijl (of Amsterdam), but we have no way to prove that. The excellent condition, double layered silk inside this pendant's shade is an expensive replacement and it creates the most amazing warm light that we have ever seen. It creates a unique atmosphere, one that will make your room look exactly like what an original Arts & Crafts room...
