Vintage Moroccan rug in Beige with Brown Geometric Pattern, from Rug & Kilim

About the Item

Hand-knotted in wool and hailing from Morocco circa 1950-1960, this 5x10 vintage Moroccan rug is a new curation from Rug & Kilim. On the Design: Connoisseurs may note that this piece is believed to be an Azilal rug, handmade by nomadic tribal weavers of the same name in the High Atlas Mountains. This piece enjoys a textural, shabby chic beauty with simple geometric patterns in a chocolate brown grid. Keen eyes may admire a cream accent in the beige, as well as the lush, rich look and feel of the high pile. This runner’s simple, archaic beauty and warm presence is exemplary of quintessential works in the Berber tradition found today. Condition: This mid-century nomadic runner rug further enjoys good condition for its age and origin, and is ready for the floor.
