Pine Book Case by a Cabinetmaker, 1930s

About the Item

Rare patinaed book shelf by an unknown Swedish cabinetmaker in solid acid stained pine wood. The shelf consists of two shelf’s and very art deco inspired feet and raised edges on the top of the shelf. The book shelf if similar to pieces by Swedish designer Axel Einar Hjorth, who also did a lot of pieces in acid stained like the Utö and Lovö series which he made during his time at Nordiska Kompaniet. The shelf is in good condition with a beautiful patina and is ready to be used. The shelf is the perfect detail for any interior and fits all from the traditional Scandinavian sports cabin style to a more modern interior or even a more wabi Sabi style interior.
