Angelo Mangiarotti Rare desk with single cast iron foot - Italian Design 1970s

About the Item

Rare desk designed by Angelo Mangiarotti. This elegant and material piece recalls the designer's style by infusing into a new concept elements already used for other furniture created for La Sorgente dei Mobili, such as round or rectangular tables. The functionality of the wooden cabinet with top in the same essence is linked to the leg in cast iron and steel, the true aesthetic fulcrum of the desk. The bearing column of the top acts as a support and, at the same time, as a decoration, allowing an overall reinvention of the desk itself towards an innovation that affects only the aesthetic level without compromising the functional one. The desk comes from a private collection in Milan and is a production of La Sorgente dei Mobili, Italy, 1972 cm Width. 170 - Prof. 80 - Height 72
