Victorian 24.50 Carats Amethyst Pearl 14 Kt Yellow Gold Cross Antique Necklace
About the Item
Featuring a cross pendant comprised of mixed emerald cut amethysts with a diamond shaped amethyst surmount. Transparent pinkish purple with natural inclusions with light/medium saturation. Set in mountings with stylized scrolling fleur-des-lis prongs. Suspending from cable chain with amethyst stations. Round cut and bezel set - transparent medium purple. Amethysts weigh approximately 24.50 carats in total. Edges of cross form are accented by round seed pearls. White in body color with moderate iridescence. Completed by spring clasp closure. Stamped 14k for 14 karat gold. Circa: 1890's. Chain length: 21 3/4 inches. Pendant measures: 1 1/2 x 2 7/8 inches. Total weight: 21.8 grams. Immense. Fanciful. Wisteria.
