About the Item
Using rich colours—blues, reds and yellows reminiscent of the old masters, Paris born Alice Teichert’s new work continues to explore the effect of light on delicately layered translucent gels. Central to this ethereal piece is a radiant yellow sphere (suggesting divinity?) as it appears suspended above Teichert’s elegant script.

She studied music, philosophy and visual arts in Belgium and France. Since 1989, she has built an international career with over 30 solo exhibitions in Germany, France, NY, Canada, Switzerland and Australia. Teichert’s paintings are held in many private, corporate and public collections worldwide.

Alice Teichert
(b.1959, Paris, FR) Multidisciplinary artist Alice Teichert is known for her use of bold colours and layered transparencies interspersed with script like line drawings. Teichert studied music, philosophy and visual arts in Belgium and France. Since 1989, she has built an international career with over 30 solo exhibitions in Germany, France, NY, Canada, Switzerland and Australia. Teichert’s paintings are held in many private, corporate and public collections including the MacLaren Art Centre, Global Affairs Canada, and the Musée de la Ville de Valence, France. An English-German edition of a monograph by Dagmar Täube, titled In)Formation - On the Philosophy and Art of Alice Teichert has recently been published by Hirmer Publishers, Münich, Germany
