About the Item
Ambujerba's visual vocabulary revolves around childhood memories, forgotten emotions, and the naivety of early Soviet psychedelic cartoons, as well as more complex animations seen on television in the mid-1990s.
Practicing asceticism, Ambujerba is interested in Buddhist spiritual practices, situationism, particularly Guy Debord's psychogeography, and the philosophy of Walter Benjamin.
Typically, the artist's works narrate his personal experiences; the process of creating art is an extension of his existence, an attempt to capture it, inseparable from the phenomenon of life. Art occurs within the experience of life, and life unfolds within art.
