About the Item
This original oil-on-canvas painting, A Beautiful Day by the River, is a serene and colourful Impressionist style painting by the prolific artist Anatoly Belonog. This work is around 50 years old and features a lovely water scene as well as beautiful feminine characters.
Belonog is an established contemporary artist who is internationally renowned, participating in art fairs in Russia, Europe and the USA and he is currently experiencing growing success in China.
Anatoly Belonog was born in 1946 in the city of Krasny Kut, in the Russian Federation. From 1971-75 he studied under A.M. Serov and from 1977-81 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, in the workshop of Prof. Zaitsev. His paintings are hanging in museums and private collections in Russia as well as France, Belgium, Germany and Sweden.
