Daniela Astone
Daniela Astone was born in Pisa, Italy, in 1980 and raised in Porto Santo Stefano, a costal town south of Florence. She discovered her passion for drawing and painting at a very young age, and began nourishing and cultivating her craft early on. In 1997, after graduating from the High School for Visual Arts, she moved to Florence to deepen her knowledge of painting. Upon arriving, she first worked in illustration, then, in 2001, enrolled in The Florence Academy of Art where she graduated in 2004, and she is now Director of the Intermediate Program. In 2003, Daniela participated, as a student, in the exhibition, “Realism Revisited” at Panorama Museum, Bad Frankenhausen, Germany. In 2004, she won the Best Painting of the Year award at The Florence Academy of Art. In September 2006 she participated in “The Florence Academy of Art Masters”, at Ettinger Gallery in New York. In 2013, she was accepted into the National Gallery BP Portrait Competition. That same year Daniela was awarded Honorable Mention at Modportrait Artelibre, Spain. Daniela works are in private collections in Italy, England and the U.S.

- OrangeBy Angel Ramiro SanchezLocated in Sag Harbor, NYPainted from a sketch from life, a nude, female figure sits with an orange cloth draped around her shoulders. Ramiro places the figure on a pedestal, draped in white linens. The figure's back is revealed, curving sensually and naturally, hair pulled up in a bun to accentuate her form. Signed: Angel Ramiro Sanchez in lower right corner Angel Ramiro Sanchez was born in 1974 in Maracaibo, Venezuela. At age six was accepted with full scholarship into the Instituto the Niños Cantores del Zulia, school for musically gifted children. At age fourteen he began five years of apprenticeship with the realist painter, Abdon J. Romero, an eminent specialist in murals for churches and public buildings. In 1993, a study grant from Mgr. Gustavo Ocando Yamarte, Founder the Niños Cantores, enabled him to travel to Florence, Italy, where he studied at the renowned Accademia di Belle Arti, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1997. At the same time, he was enrolled at The Florence Academy of Art,founded by painter Daniel Graves, where he received a diploma in Painting. Ramiro was appointed senior painting instructor at The Florence Academy of Art in 1997, and is currently Director of the Advanced Painting Program. He believes the painter must draw his information from "all five senses" to tell the complete human story.
