Here, he focuses on the romantic glowing light of New York City's iconic Empire State Building in the nighttime sky. The viewer's eye is drawn up towards the beacon of soft yellow light that radiates through a misty grey-blue night sky. Dark rust colored skyscrapers elegantly frame the focal point is the distance while silhouettes of water towers make reference to old New York and windows aglow with electric light play on it's reputation of being the city that never sleeps. Mulero's brush work is subtle and captures the soft brilliance of electric light with a Romantic sensibility. The painting is currently unframed with aluminum stretcher bars.
