About the Item
The hero at this painting is a human. His eyes are a lenses that artist using. At all time they are together, a man and a woman. Duality of differences, two views, different accents, but in one wholeness. Fomin is a fairy-tale artist, a romance teller, who is choosing never ending life stories for a viewer. He is telling these stories with realistic language of the artist, citing the language of Bruegel sentimental sincerity of Chagall, but also a precise coloristic scheme, that was a signature of French Art in the second half of XX century.
The fantastic World of the artist is perfectly detailed that makes it truthful. This artistic language principle defined the style of the artist long before he entered the Art World market. His love for Italian Renaissance was born in Minsk during his study years. Art, Music and Architecture made Igor Fomin’s art language strong.

Igor Fomin
Fomin is a storytelling artist. He is a storyteller in his everyday, anecdotally narrating the funny side of life, and he is a storyteller in his professional life, bringing to the canvas realistic popular scenes set in fairy-tale settings where the subject matter is always treated with irony and humor. The titles of his paintings tell us about eccentric characters of an era, a culture, a society (which one?) - it doesn't matter, it is a distorted reality with a romantic and sentimental touch, which takes us to references such as Brueghel the Elder, El Bosco and Chagall, within an aesthetic and chromatism typical of Renaissance painting where Fomin develops his original scenes playing with the design of spaces, landscapes, buildings, characters and costumes. A stage director who makes us smile, but also reflect on his original interpretation of the human being, because this is the main protagonist of his paintings. Igor Fomin (Minsk, Bielorrusia, 1963) studied architecture at the University of Minsk, but even at this time he was showing his liking for the word of painting. His first jobs in the world of painting at this time were as a commissioned graphic designer. En 1988 he started painting pictures, a small forerunner of the style for which he is now recognized. During this period, his love of music also led him to study the classical guitar, a theme which he developed extensively in his painting. Music and architecture are two permanent elements in his paintings. In 1992 he settled in Spain with his newly created family and, unable to work as architects due to their lack of knowledge of the language, he and his wife, the painter Elena Narkevich, began to work with art galleries, and their work soon began to be recognized.
In 1994 he was accepted to the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors (Asociación Española de Pintores y Escultores). During these years he won a Second place prize in the Naive Art Competition. In 1996 he won First place prize in the Autumn Salon organized by the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors. Since 1989 Igor Fomin and his family are living and working in Spain. He is a participant in important Art Fairs (i.e. Art New York 2018), and his works can be found in private collections in Russia, Germany, the USA, UK and many others.

- Blow upBy Daria KotlyarovaLocated in Fort Lee, NJ“Blow up” is a peculiar hommage towards Michelangelo Antonioni and Julio Cortazar. The color element here almost disappears, leaving a kind of neutral beginning, an elusive, but quite real equivalent of a fading light ... The metaphor “Blow up” is a rebirth, a new life ... A form of mental dialogue between the artist and the viewer by means of plastic language of the painting. In the modern world, the artist is a peculiar explorer of the time that he lives In. The “main character” of this world is a man whose gaze is turned inward. This view projects its existential reality, where the figurative language of painting is a method of transmitting abstract images of the experiences of the main characters and the time in which they exist on an equal footing with the viewer. Pictures of Daria Kotlyarova have no plot, at first glance, they have no action, but there is a moment. The moment before the second “before” ... and the viewer stops and freezes in tension, this is almost a psychological “cinema reception” that refers us to David Hockney’s paintings...Category

- Telengana Pandit, Acrylic on Canvas by Modern Artist Thota Vaikuntam "In Stock"By Thota VaikuntamLocated in Kolkata, West BengalThota Vaikuntam - Telengana Pandit Acrylic on Canvas, 23 x 17.75 inches Thota Vaikuntam is one of the Greatest Artist from the Indian Sub-contitent. He is preoccupied with portraying the men and woman from his region. Thota Vaikuntam (born 1942) is an Indian Modern painter. His paintings capture simple lifestyle of villagers like the paddy fields, toddy pots on shoulders of men, the household chores, temple rituals etc. His drawings range from stark charcoal on paper, transparent washes and pencil drawings. Vaikuntam paints colorful and elaborately dressed Telangana region men and seductive women. His muse is the sensuous and voluptuous women of Telangana with their omnipresent vermilion bindis, draped in colourful sarees that highlight their dusky skin. The stylisation of a painting are a perfect foil to Indian classical dance as the figures seem to dance, as if following their creator in a statuesque movement, reminiscent of temple friezes. He uses the brightest of reds and yellows. The simple women become larger than life as they fill the small format of his paintings draped in bright Sircilla saris. "I like using rich primary colours, which give a sense of character and depth to my paintings. Like reds and saffron and even orange, because these are essentially Indian colours. I don't like using colours that are mix of two, because they are not natural, they don't exist in surroundings around us, in our everyday life. - T. Vaikuntam” Style : Men and women of his village are often the central characters of his work. The obsession can be traced back to his childhood, when he used to be fascinated by the male artists who used to impersonate female characters in the travelling theatre groups that performed in his village. He admits finding the women of his village very sensuous and that he only attempts to capture their vibrancy. Vaikuntam’s art has a sense of strength to it, a power that emanates from the paint or charcoal that he applies to the surface, from his controlled lines, and from the fine strokes that he executes. He generally uses only primary colours, as he believes that composite colours do not exist in nature and are therefore, unnatural. About the Artist : Born : 1942 in Boorugupali, Andhra Pradesh. Education : 1970 - T. Vaikuntam completed a Diploma in Painting at the College of Fine Arts and Architecture, Hyderabad. 1972 - Painting and Printmaking from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda.
