Contemporary abstract interior still life painting by local Houston artist Tommy Taylor. Currently featured in the show "Septet" at Reeves Art + Design in Houston, TX. Signed, titled, and dated on reverse. Currently unframed, but options are available. Artist Biography: Born in Jackson, Tennessee, Tommy Taylor has since moved to Nashville, Knoxville, Iowa City, London, Raleigh, and now Houston. While he continued to develop his work in London he also traveled throughout Europe and Asia. Tommy uses his life experiences along with different materials to reflect on the world through his eclectic imagery with his visual art, books, teaching, and art community. While he has work in collections along with a history of national and international exhibitions, for now, he paints, teaches, and writes in Houston.

Though her works seem like photo-realistic academic painting, they are in fact constructed from a succession of false manipulations- digitally processed photographs create the desired composition, masking-tape helps create the straight lines and splashes of paint create the tile patterns.
