Franco Salas Borquez
Wandering Wave by Franco Salas Borquez - Contemporary oil painting, seascape

2021

About the Item

Wandering Wave is a unique oil on canvas painting by contemporary artist Franco Salas Borquez, dimensions are 100 × 100 cm (39.4 × 39.4 in). The artwork is signed, sold unframed and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Franco Salas Borquez has a close relationship with the sea, since this natural element represents much more than a landscape for him. Hailing from a family of sailors that he sometimes accompanied to sea, he has experienced just how powerful the ocean can be, and his desire to paint it is fuelled by fear just as much as by fascination. Focusing his artistic research on the gesture, the artist paints the waves using an intuitive but rigorous hand to achieve the same degree of fluidity as the sea. Thus his artworks, thanks to the effect of realism, reproduce the same sensation that comes from contemplating nature.
