Impressionist American seascape, oil painting by George Renouard. Inscribed on reverse "1st Chapter-Genesis by Renouard". Oil on canvas. Signed lower right. Original frame. Measures: 20" x 24" without frame. George Renouard, was born in Rochester, New York and lived much of his life in Brooklyn and Manhattan, was a graphic artist, painter and art educator. His paintings frequently portray scenes and subjects from Cape Anne, Long Island and Brooklyn.
