Oil on Canvas: Painted oval form :13 x 11 in. Frame: 29 x 23 in. Fine carved giltwood Florentine frame. Late 18th century.
A very well executed and highly decorative 'Angel of the Annunciation', after the original by Carlo Dolci (1616-1686) in the Palazzo Pitti, Florence.
Painted by a talented, but unknown Florentine artist and follower of the famous Baroque painter Carlo Dolci.
Presented in a superb carved giltwood Florentine frame, late 18th c.
Gallery notes: This beautiful painting has been recently relined by our gallery and the original Florentine frame has been carefully restored by our gilders.
