The pears were sitting on my windowsill in the sun to ripen and then the colour and light caught my eye. I love to take time to enjoy the beauty in the incidentals that surround us.

Angela Webb, painter, is available for sale online and in our art gallery at Wychwood Art. Angela is a Scottish architect turned artist living and working in Warwickshire. She works mainly in oils but also has a growing interest in monoprinting techniques. Her subject matter is broad ranging, from figure work to still life and landscape. The observation of life, light and colour are her constant inspirations.
‘My goal is for the paint to be just paint; to look like nothing more than paint strokes and marks but, when seen as a whole, to be air, colour, light, atmosphere, flavour; the moment. If I am lucky and it comes together, I am successful.’
She regularly takes part in art festivals and Open Studio events and teaches workshops for schools and art societies.
