Trevor Waugh was born in 1952 and grew up in London. Waugh studied at the Slade School of Fine Art from 1970–74 (BA) under the guidance of Sir William Coldstream who was the Professor of the Slade at that time, Patrick George, Philip Sutton, David Hockney, Euan Uglow and Bernard Cohen. During his time at the Slade, he was invited by Sir William Coldstream and Patrick George to exhibit alongside them at the Collegiate Theatre at University College, London, 1971. Waugh was also a contributor to the Young Contemporaries Exhibition at the Royal Academy in 1972. He obtained a distinction for his post-graduate certificate in illustration, when he studied with Ernest Jones at Croydon College of Art 1978–79. Waugh went on to work successfully as a freelance illustrator for nine years for most of the major publishers including Penguin, Heinemann, Cassell, Collins and the BBC. Returning to Fine Art and Travel, Waugh returned to fine art in 1988 and began traveling extensively in the Middle East- the first visit in 1995 for a month as artist in residence at the Majlis Gallery, Dubai. Several exhibitions and visits since including "The New Orientalist Exhibition" in the Emirates and his paintings can be found in the Royal Collections of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. In 1995, he traveled to the USA and resided there for three months to include an exhibition and watercolor classes at Cleveland State Community College, Tennessee. He was also an artist in residence and held an exhibition at the River Gallery in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Waugh visited Morocco in 1977–78 resulting in an exhibition in the UK sponsored by the Moroccan Embassy. Since 1993, he has made frequent visits to Venice for inspiration, resulting in several exhibitions there in the UK, as well as Florence and Rome. France has also featured in Waugh’s traveling schedule, where he ran painting holidays in Provence and the Dordogne and spent some time in the Ardeche, Giverny and Brittany. A painting trip to Oman and a painting trip to Istanbul have also featured.

- A Glittering Autumn Day, Tree Art, Colourful Textured Painting, Autumnal ArtworkBy Nicky ChubbLocated in Deddington, GBA Glittering Autumn Day by Artist Nicky Chubb is an original artwork. Chubb's unique style of splattering paint for the leaves makes the tree stand out to the viewer. Nicky Chubb artist with Wychwood Art. Nicky Chubb comments " My work is essentially optimistic, whether I'm painting flowers or the sea, the emotions I aim to evoke are hope and happiness. The trees, big skies and hardy heathland flowers of the countryside around my home, and the sense of time and belonging that watching them through the seasons brings, are a huge inspiration. I try to capture a sense of air and movement as I paint. I originally trained as a designer (BA hons Fashion, Central St Martins 1993) and the influence of my love of textiles can be seen in my use of colour, texture and pattern. I am currently exploring the different effects, happy accidents and controlled corrosion of mixed media in the backgrounds of my tree paintings to create wilder skies. Drawing the human figure, trying to capture moments in time and changing light is an interest that has always run parallel to my other work. All my figure paintings are in mixed media, either quick, gestural drawings or multi-layered combinations of ink, paint, collage and resin. " Nicky Chubb artist is shown in Wychwood Art gallery...Category

- A Walk in the Rose Garden of the Princess Grace of Monaco, Diptych, Original artBy Mary ChaplinLocated in Deddington, GBThis work was inpired by the memory of a pleasant walk with friends to discover Princess Grace’s rose garden in Monaco. I wanted to grab the moment capturing the sun, the colors and the perfumes, a potpourri of happiness where one immerses oneself in the well being that such a place offers. The large size of the diptych makes you want to enter the place. The old olive tree has been simplified, its foliage and the sky are one, so it looks like a sentinel watching over the roses. Convinced by the positive impact that nature has on the quality of our lives, through my art, I wish to transmit this myriad of beneficent feelings. This work is made with high quality acrylic paint on top quality linen canvas. Additional Information: 'A walk in the rose garden of the Princess Grace of Monaco...Category
