About the Item
This fine art print features “Sunset by the Allahverdi Khan Bridge,” popularly known as Si-o-se-pol, the largest of the eleven historical bridges on the river Zayanderud, in the Iranian Plateau, in Isfahan, Iran.
This photograph was captured by international travel photographer Dorte Verner, whose passion is to bring change and attention to vulnerable and voiceless people. Her expertise in international development allows her to understand the reality in the environments she photographs.
Her photographs are featured in solo and group exhibits, and her images are on permanent display in International Organizations. She has received numerous awards for her work and is published in books, magazines, and also displayed on prime art and photography websites.

Dorte Verner
Dorte Verner was born in Denmark and lives in Washington, D.C., USA. She is a Photographer and Development Practitioner, holds a Ph.D. in economics, and is a Fellow in the Explorers Club. Her photography focuses on people that have little voice and never make the news, but who have important knowledge and experiences to share. Verner captures its strength and beauty through intimate moments. She has focused on nomads, refugees, indigenous people, and people affected by climate change, among other changes. Verner's portfolio centers on environmental portraits, with images inspired by the lives and livelihoods of people living in extreme situations. Her photographs are featured in many shows and galleries in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the USA. Currently, Verner’s photographs are exhibited in “The Silk Road,” Photography Biennial of Tianshui, China; and in two solo exhibitor shows “The Sahel,” “The World Bank,” USA and “Beyond Borders,” Henry Luce III Center for Arts and Religion, Washington D.C., USA. They are also on permanent display in International Organizations and published in magazines such as GEO and Vanity Fair and on the cover of books and publications.
