Meghan Mirasolo’s “Corona Heights” is a dynamic landscape photograph of buildings and balconies in San Francisco. The 10 x 8 inch giclee print combines multiple photographs into one, playing with opacity and creating a feeling of movement that accentuates layers of green trees and white buildings. Oranges and beiges are also prominent and give the urban landscape a vintage vibe. This original print is matted in white and has a silver flat metal frame. The framed size of the work is 12.25 x 14.25 x 1 inch and is wired for ease of hanging. The artist’s signature is on the back.
Meghan Mirasolo creates digital photographs by repeating and layering multiple shots. “It’s always interesting to see how different photos interact with each other once the opacity is lowered,” she says. There are subtle skews in perspective as well as shifts of color and light. Her work can take on an ethereal, atmospheric feel. Recent pieces combine photographs from her travels, using both urban and natural landscapes as an inspiration.
