It depicts Julius Henry Marx, known professionally as Groucho Marx, who was an American comedian, writer, stage, film, radio, and television star. He was known as a master of quick wit and is widely considered one of the best comedians of the modern era. Allan took this image of Marx on set of "A Day at the Races", which was released in 1937. This piece is hand signed and numbered from the edition of 325 plus Artist Proofs. The sheet measures 23.25 x 18 inches and the image measures 21.5 x 16 inches.
