About the Item

Original Vintage Event Poster created 1967 by one of the best known Japanese graphic artists, Yusaku Kamekura; in 1960 he was a founding member, then director of Nippon Design Centre before he was appointed as chairman of the Japan Graphic Designers Association. His design for the Expo poster (he got the commission as soon as 1967 – the responsible people had a pretty farsighted view...) is a quite great allegory of the theme of progress and harmony: a blooming cherry blossom, light in the dark, a lot of dynamics...
