About the Item
No matter the seriousness (or lack thereof) of the subject, everything is always beautifully drawn on the lithographic stone by Bendiner.
Here a bull fight has gone amiss. Perhaps bull and the horse are in cahoots? Are they exchanging a glance? Meanwhile the 'fighter' is tossed in the air and no one has the slightest sympathy for him.
From an edition of 50, this print is signed, titled, and numbered in pencil. Monogrammed in the stone at the lower left. Reference: McNulty 17.
