Salome Tanzt is a colored cliché from watercolor on cream-colored cardboard realized by Choisy Le Conin, as is remembered Franz Von Bayros (Agram, 1866 – Vienna, 1924). From Mappe, a portfolio of 50 original prints (héliogravure or cliché from watercolors, of which 14 are colored) made around 1921 by Choisy Le Conin. This is one of that 14 colored cliché from original watercolor by the artist. With a preface of von Rudolph Hans Bartsch, published by Ed. Strache, Wien, Prag, Leipzig, this is the specimen n. 285 on a total circulation of 500 prints. Ours is the most complete original edition. In perfect conditions, except for a minor stain on the lower margin at the center. this defect does not affect the image. With a protective tissue with the title of the subject. This original print, represents the legendary Salomé's death during her last dance on an ice slab. This modern artwork demonstrates not only the masterful draftsmanship of Choisy Le Conin but also his strong colorism and strong color contrasts. This object is shipped from Italy.
