Henri Joseph Dubouchet
Virgin Mary with child Jesus - Original Gouache on Cardboard by H.J. Dubouchet

1855 ca.

About the Item

Virgin Mary with child Jesus is a wonderful black and white gouache on cardboard realized by Henri Joseph Dubouchet (1833-1909). This touching Modern artwork, representing the Virgin Mary holding the little Jesus in an intimate pose, is realized with a witty touch. In very good conditions, except for diffused foxing and a slight yellowing of the paper at the center. These defects do not affect the image. This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist who has died requires a licence for export regardless of the work’s market price. The shipping may require additional handling days to require the licence according to the final destination of the artwork.
