An original vintage poster of Perlach Macaroni Spaghetti created by Richard Roth for the German pasta brand, Perlach in the 1940s 1. The poster features an anthropomorphic pasta man who grows more prominent as the more Perlach pasta he eats. Printer: Obpacher, München
Archivally linen-backed in mint condition, ready to frame.
Richard Roth was a German artist born in 1907 and passed away in 20031. He was interested in creating illusions from abstract art after observing the Ebbinghaus Illusion, an illusion of relative size perception discovered by the German psychologist Hermann Ebbinghaus.
It was printed for Dorland advertising agency, one of the oldest in Europe. Poster lithographed in Munich. Printed: Obpacher AG, Munich
