About the Item
The bright colours of the rainbow coloured Lifeguard hut seem a perfect fit for the Venice Beach lifestyle. I love the contrast of the hut's colours against the lightness of the sand, both of which stand out against the vivid pink sky. This piece is created from an original photograph, digitally coloured by hand (including the people on the left), and printed on brushed aluminium which really brings out the vivid colours. Venice Beach Lifeguard Hut is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 10-14 days. An aluminium subframe on the back makes it incredibly easy to hang.
Michael Wallner has original artworks for sale with Wychwood Art both in their art gallery and online. Michael has spent more than twenty years in the media industry working on entertainment programmes, talk shows, documentaries, animations and a children’s novel. But creating original and innovative art is his true passion. His latest work celebrates the beauty of the city through the shapes, outlines and colours that define its character. London, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Miami, Paris and Dubai all feature in Michael’s portfolio. The art is created by digitally manipulating and colouring his own photographs to produce unusual prints on aluminium, reclaimed wood, brass, even 1930’s copper-lite windows. He also creates neon, magnetic, and L.E.D installations. The metal pieces are printed on very thin sheets of brushed aluminium, giving the work an etched appearance. Michael works out of his studio at Wimbledon Art Studios in South London. Recent exhibitions include The Affordable Art Fair (Battersea, Hampstead, Singapore, New York, Milan), The Other Art Fair, and The Open Studios Show at Wimbledon Art Studios, amongst others.
