Old poster of publicity realized by Lucien Boucher for the National Lottery.
The French National Lottery, created in 1933 to help war invalids, veterans and victims of agricultural disasters was the most important lottery organizer in France.
Lucien Boucher is a French draftsman, engraver, poster artist and illustrator born in Chartres on December 26, 1889 and died in Paris 19th on February 6, 19711.
A graduate of the École de céramique de Sèvres, he began his career as a caricaturist for the humorous weekly Le Rire and also contributed to several issues of Fantasio.
From the 1920s onwards, he devoted himself mainly to the creation of posters for the cinema and advertising and produced numerous lithographs inspired by surrealism.
