Original vintage World War Two propaganda poster - Junk Rains Hell on Axis - featuring a great design by the notable American-Russian illustrator and graphic designer Boris Artzybasheff (1899-1965) known for his surreal designs and his work for Fortune, Time and Life magazines. Great design depicting the Nazi German leader Adolf Hitler with the Italian leader Benito Mussolini and the Japanese leader Emperor Hirohito running with rats in fear from falling scrap metal including forks, keys, scissors, engines, nuts, an iron, radiator, bolts and screws against the black background with the text below explaining ways in which the public can save scrap metal to help in the war effort and win the war sooner. Published in the interest of an earlier Victory by Wickwire Spencer Steel Company in New York. Good condition, restored folds, restored tears, backed on linen.
