Graphisms & 2. 1980, paper, silk screen, 15x21 cm Maris Argalis (1954-2008) Born in Riga. 1971. - graduated the Janis Rosenthal Riga Art School. Ongoing studies 1971. in SSR the National Academy of Art Sculpture section - left in 1974. year, and turned to graphic. Participated in exhibitions since 1976. Artists' Union since 1976. year. Worked in book design, design, interior decoration. One of the most active seekers of new imagery technique Latvian 70-to-year in graphic. Was the instigator of exhibitions "Science fiction" in the 1976. and 1977. The Exhibition "Models" (1978) was the first most comprehensive attempt Latvian graphic exhibit surrealistic works who has a little post-modern context.
